Stem cell collection to begin this afternoon

Day 8 of Neupogen injections. 7am apt at BMTG for bloodwork. My white count has skyrocketed to 16.2 (4.8-10.2 is the range for normal folks). They will start stem collection today. Someone is already on the cell separator/collection machine when we get the results, so we leave to return around noon after eating lunch. The collection will take 4 hours on the machine. We’ll watch a DVD movie or two. Tonight they will call me to let me know how many stem cells they collected and whether we will repeat tomorrow (likely) and continue the injections, etc. My potassium levels are within the lower end of normal range with the increased supplements.

Bennett was up from 11-12:30 am last night. Karin missed some needed sleep. Per Paul Bennett only lasted from 6am-8am this morning before crashing. I took Bennett for a 1 mile walk. He was happy for the first half. He doesn’t like sun in the face, but he won’t keep a hat on long. Karin is napping before lunch. I’ll try to add some new pictures this this evening.
